New Nails, Who's This?!

I'll admit it, I was a nail bitter. *Insert face palm emoji here* I remember my elementary band director even offered to pay for a manicure if I stopped biting my nails. I tried to break this habit with nail biting polish and even acrylic nails. However, nothing seemed to work and I never ended up getting that spa day. It wasn't until I spent more time at home, thanks to the pandemic, that I invested into my nail health. After decades of nail biting and a year of searching for the best polish, Essie Gel Couture is the only polish that exceeds expectations.
I was pretty picky when it came to finding the perfect polish. It needs to last for 1-2 weeks, drys quickly without smears, doesn't chip and the color needs to be flattering. And the best part is, you can remove Essie Gel Couture with nail polish remover!

From Left to Right:

I tend to pick neutral colors because it matches everything and you’re always camera ready. According to my dermatologist, I’m skin type three (darker white skin). Sheer Silhouette, which is featured on my nails, and Of Corset provide a seamless transition from my skin tone to nails. In the Gel Couture collection, Essie labels 18 different polishes as nude - providing a decent variety, regardless of your skin type. If you’re looking for a sophisticated fairy dust pink, I recommend Sheer Fantasy. Princess Charming is a subtle purple and if you want to add sparkle, Last Nightie will do the trick.
In addition to the color, you must also purchase the top coat which comes in a white bottle. At most, I recommend waiting 15 minutes until you apply the top coat. Finally, your nails will be ready for anything when they aren’t sticky to the touch.
